Julia and Joseph Right Now

Julia is such a sweetheart. She is very loving, helpful, and pretty well-behaved. The 3's have brought whining, but this has diminished some since the Fall. She does get upset when it is time to go to sleep (she's never been good at this). She always tells us that she loves us and gives us kisses and hugs freely. She definately loves her brother and is a mother hen to him, helping keep him out of trouble. She likes to do things on her own. She dresses herself every morning and night (she has done this since Joseph was born) and prides herself on brushing her own teeth. She is shy in public, but comes alive at home, performing and singing for us incessantly.

At 3 years, 7 months, Julia loves:

  • Princesses
  • Playing dress-up
  • Singing songs and nursery rhymes
  • Dancing, twirling, and doing gymnastics
  • Watching movies and musicals, especially Annie
  • Playgrounds
  • Cooking with Mommy

Favorite Quotes: "That's a bad word", "No you didn't, God did", "I love you to the___ and back"

Joseph is always on-the-go. He is constantly moving and getting into or onto something. He will sit in our laps in the morning when he first wakes up, but once he gets going, he does not slow down until nap time. He is a good sleeper and when it is time for bed, he lies down with his blankie and falls fast asleep. He is very outgoing in public and often says "hi" and waves to whoever he sees. He approaches strangers without any problems. When asked for "sugars", he will give the sweetest kisses. He can say a lot of words and knows how to speak loudly to get your attention.

At 1 year, 3 months, Joseph loves:

  • Making loud noises by banging things together
  • Climbing
  • "Talking" on the phone
  • Running
  • Yelling Ma-ma in his loudest, deepest voice
  • Answering "No" to every possible question
  • Going "Outside" to play anything

Favorite Quotes: "What's that?", "Mo" for more, "Da-deeee" (when Daddy's outside and that's where he wants to be), "Peas" for please, "All done" (when finished eating, when tired in the carseat, etc.)
