Julia's Self-Portrait

Julia drew this picture of herself "in her flowered dress". She enjoys drawing and coloring and does a pretty good job.
She is also so imaginative at this age. She is constantly pretending and making up stories. She has an imaginative friend, Jadie, that is with us quite frequently. She has another one named Carla. She has gone into detail telling about Jadie, her Mommy, and even described her house (red, but not made of bricks, just painted red). Jadie is 10 years old so she's a "big kid". Sometimes, she uses Jadie to her advantage. For instance, when I asked her to pick up her toys, she replied, "Jadie, doesn't want to pick up the toys" or when I tried using Jadie to convince her to do something, she says, "Jadie's mommy told her that she had to go home. She will be back on Wednesday". She will pretend that she is Jadie also. At times, we will laugh and laugh at the things that come out of her mouth. I always want to remember how much she enjoys her "friends" and playing pretend games.
