We went to the T. Rex Cafe, which is similiar to the popular Rainforest Cafe, but is all about dinosaurs. I had shown Julia the roaring dinosaurs online before our trip and she kept repeating that "dinosaurs are scary" but still said she wanted to see them. When we reached the lodge, she seemed apprehensive and kept looking for the dinosaurs. Everywhere we went, she said, "there's no dinosaurs" so we thought she would not like the T. Rex Cafe and decided to not eat in the cafe but just visit. Upon entering the door, there was a huge animated dinosaur that roared every few minutes. She did not like this one but was comfortable as long as she was in her stroller. We toured the restaurant and saw many model dinosaurs that she enjoyed. She even jumped out of her stroller at one point and sat next to a moving dinosaur. After touring, we went to the Build-a-Dino, which is like the Build-a-Bear workshop. She had fun picking out her very own dinosaur, putting the heart inside her, choosing the giggle sound for her and watching her come to life. Afterwards, she gave her a bath and chose a t-shirt for her to wear and a backpack to carry her in. She made a birth certificate and named her Sassy. While making the dinosaur, she would periodically check her back to make sure that the big dinosaurs weren't coming near. Joseph got a mini dinosaur named Squirt. He likes to hold it and put it in his mouth.
